Gear couplings

The drum gear coupling belongs to the flexible coupling without elastic elements. It is mainly composed of the inner toothed ring and drum tooth outer-toothed sleeve etc main component parts.
The drum gear coupling has below features:
1. Good compensatory performance. Because outer toother sleeve is of drum teeth, when the coupling operates, the edge angle contact of inner teeth with outer teeth can be avoided. The angular displacement between two shaft axes is allowed to be ±1.5°, When the angular displacement is within 2°~3°, it can reliably work. Allowable angular displacement is generally recommended to be 1°30'~2°30'(For straight-tooth coupling, the allowable angular displacement to be 1.5°)
2. It can bear heavy load and impaction load, the bearing capacity will be raised by 15%~20% compared with that of straight-tooth coupling at the same angular displacement.
3.High efficiency, it can reach 0.99.
4. Gool seal property, reliable operation, the handling, and maintenance are convenient.
Compared with the straight tooth type coupling, the drum gear coupling has smaller outline dimensions, bigger bearing capacity and reliable operation at high speed. It is suitable for smelting, steel rolling, heavy-duty machinery, steam turbine, and petrochemical industry, shipping etc industries.
